Good service - know the industry before you do anything

This industry works on a bidding process, where brokers bid the vehicles at certain prices to get a carrier to agree to take the car. This causes uncertainty in timing of pickup and delivery from when you first put in the order. Amerifreight was very upfront about this and that was very appreciated. As a first time car shipper, I had no idea what was meant by bidding, but if you're shopping around ask about this. The service was very good, but again due to the nature of the industry, the price you're quoted at may very well increase because of the bidding process. Again, ask about this if you're shopping around.

All in all, this was a good experience for me, who has never used a car shipping broker, but I advise you to learn about how the industry works first and ask the car shipping brokers for full disclosure if possible, on what they are bidding the car at, how many vehicles are in line before them, and whether they intend to raise the price at any point.
