Company lists itself as a common carrier, but they brokered out my delivery. The pick up company was 2 days late showing up to pick up the car and two days late delivering the car. And when I got in the car I noticed that there was almost no gas at all. Warning light was on and the indicator was well below "E." When I contacted the seller he said that there was a half tank of gas in the car when he left it for pick up and that someone must have gone for a joy ride in the car. The car was a Porsche.

Thomas Aschauer's thervman@att.net taschauer@comcast.net 1999 Porsche was transported from CA to IN, a trip of 2500 miles in 8 days which is within all estimates and FMCSA's driver log regulations. Drivers are allowed to drive only a certain mileage after which they must take rest. Tom's vehicle was delivered as quickly as it is legally possible and there were no delays. The vehicle was not driven by the trucker as there is simply no time and place where he would go on a "joy ride" with the 1999 car, which would put him behind on his schedule for pickup and delivery of all other vehicles as well. Also please keep in mind that these drivers are professional truckers and they handle all types of vehicles including latest models of Porsche and Lamborghini etc, as well as all show cars, so there is no incentive for the driver to take a 1999 car on a joy ride. In addition, many customers purchase vehicles online based on what the seller told them over the phone or in an email, which is very different from what the vehicle may in reality be. Online auto buyers beware! If all of our reviews were truly read, the reviewer would find that the most common issue is that most customers simply do not read our service terms and conditions and attempt to hold us accountable for how they think the business should work and not according to anything that has been provided in writing. The transport industry is a complex one and that is why so many customer come to us, the professionals. Integrity is one of Montway's company core values. We demonstrate our integrity by being transparent with all of our terms and conditions of service because we understand that transporting a vehicle is not a common occurrence for a one time customer. Nothing within our process is hidden, that is how we demonstrate integrity. That is how we became one of the largest auto transporters in the United States. Montway is an auto carrier and an auto transport broker and that is clearly listed on our website along with all our terms and conditions. Many customers have the misconception that brokers provide service of lesser quality that a direct carrier. This is a misconception because for the carrier dealing with the number one broker in the US brings respect in the eyes of the carrier and they rely on us for their business, they rely on the business relationship and will do all that is required to accommodate our customers as we request it. We are thus able to hold them accountable for all their actions based on a signed dispatch contract and based on proof provided. We remain in business because we are industry experts transporting over 6,000 vehicles a month and have a network of over 13,000 carriers. Both customer and company bare a responsibility to any business transaction. We understand that not everyone may be satisfied with our service, for which we will continue to strive for improvement. However as part of accepting our service, we do expect that our terms and conditions are understood and that we are appropriately held accountable to our terms and conditions. Montway is 100% dedicated to the customer and our service and care is unmatched! Resolution was offered to the customer, Thomas Aschauer, however he never accepted.
