One Main Issue

At first I was very happy to use Get it Done Transportation. David, the owner, called me and texted with me even on weekends, showing that he was very interested in ensuring that the process continued to move smoothly. The first time he called me he spoke to me at length about the process, how auto transport works, and gave me a no commitment quote. I waited a while to call back and make the reservation, as I got my moving issues in order, and they honored the previous quote from before.

The main issue I had with the company, and the reason I am only giving them 2 stars, is what came after the car was picked up. I received a call the afternoon before delivery from the company that was hired to drive my car across the country, and they confirmed the balance that was owed, which matched what I had been told previously. I told them that was fine and I wanted to use the credit card that I had paid the deposit with. The driver informed me that they could only accept cash or a cashier's check at delivery. I had just moved cross-country, so I did not have a bank from which to get a cashier's check, and luckily I had just been paid that day, so I was able to mostly empty my checking account in order to get the cash from local ATMs to cover the balance. I tried to reach out to Get it Done, and though it was a Friday night and Saturday morning (delivery Saturday), I reached out to David on his cell phone that we had been in contact on before. I did not hear from him at any point before the delivery, and did not hear from the company until after the paperwork for the delivery was finished.

I emailed him regarding the issues I had and I received what seemed to be a sincere apology for the mixup, stating that I could have used the credit card if I had gotten in touch with them. For my troubles, he offered to send me a gift card from the company so I could go out to a nice dinner, saying it was the least they could do. I really appreciated this offer, and gave him my address where it could be sent, indicating that I would be leaving that address in 2 weeks, if he may not be able to send it right away. When I had not heard from him or received anything before I left that address, I followed up again, with the new address that could be used for me. I still did not hear from him, or anyone else from the company, and have not up to this point.

I am not rating them poorly because I did not receive a gift card, but instead because of the failure to be able to get in touch with them regarding an important matter to me (credit card v. cash), and then saying they would do something to show their apology, but then not coming through with that or having reached out to me in any way before that either. I was very disappointed in the end result of the company's communication and following through with promises made, and that is why they are getting a lower rating.

Robert, Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate all feed back here. I must say though I am absolutely SHOCKED and its very disheartening to read. Even you wrote in your review how communication was great, I even gave you my personnel cell # and texted on weekends. Also you wrote how your quote was expired and I even HONORED the original rate even though it expired by two months, and the thanks I get is 2 stars? You left out key facts, 1. being you received a email with all the carrier info and method of payment three days before delivery. 2. You tried calling me the night before delivery while I was out of state for funeral to see if I can switch it to credit, after knowing in a week advance it was COD. It was explained that It wasn't possible because it wasnt enough notice for payment to clear to the carrier before drop off, so like you stated I said had I known a few days before I would have been able to switch it. Just to recap what you wrote in your review; all in all your quote was expired for two months and I still GUARANTEED the rate, your car was delivered damage free in 4 days across country, and communication was great, you knew it was it was COD and tried to switch to credit payment the day before delivery. Thank you for the two star review and I wish it could have been a 5 but it seems I did everything I could and you still weren't pleased. Thank you for your honest review. Dave Pein 888-325-1899
