Disclaimer:
I've been told to submit this review, as it is part of the contract for shipping the car. I found this an annoyance, but ultimately not a huge problem. Overall everything went much better than expected, so a little push to review wasn't too bad.

Overview:
My grandparents stopped driving due to their age, and gifted me a very nice Jeep. After the initial enthusiasm, the reality of shipping a car cross country sunk in. I called multiple DMVs to get temporary tags, etc, but this turned into a huge headache. In the end, I negotiated to get a driver to pick up my car on a specific day that I flew to CO, and the dropoff came several days early. No damage, and pretty awesome experience with everyone involved.

Options:
The options were get a temporary shipping registration from the DMV (since the tags were expired) and drive myself, ship via broker, or ship via Train (like Amtrak). The former would unduly stress me and the car, and shipping via train required me to come back with the car on the train (requiring more days off work). Ultimately went with shipping via truck due to being the best option I could find.

Process:
Called Amerifright and talked to Dustin. Gentleman was good walking me through the steps and getting a price set up that would net a guaranteed pickup date. Usually the constraints are a flexible pickup and strict dropoff - I was in the opposite situation. This was two weeks before my scheduled flight, so although stressful and not as easy as getting on a plane, it did all work out with a 2 week advanced plan.

BIGGEST thing I had to focus on was managing the pickup and dropoff times across multiple drivers. Due to the strict pickup time, I had to be flexible on the day of. Didn't get an exact time for pickup until that morning, which was frustrating but not a big deal at all. Ultimately they came within the 2 hour window specified, and were very flexible on the where to meet me.

Takes a mention: These are BIG trucks. We had to drive to a nearby shopping mall to have them load the truck. There is no door-to-door service if you live in apartments or communities.

Bottom Line:
VERY happy with how everything turned out. NO damage to car, minimal frustration on timing (understandable when you get to learn the process), and great people who were professional in recording everything down. Will definitely go with Amerifreight again if I need to ship a car again.
