As a first time auto shipper, I had a lot to learn about this whole process. I requested a quote from the ebay search feature(bought the truck on ebay), and got the typical onslaught of emails from shippers. What pulled me to Trans Auto Transport was the fact that Gary West told me that they were not a Broker, and that my truck would be moved on one of their carriers. That was the first thing that did not end up being true. I ended up scheduling to have them pick up my truck and move it to me from Austin Colorado to Marion Illinois. They sent me a form that Gary told me was the DOT permission form. That is another thing that I do not believe to be true. It had absolutely no information on it regarding DOT regulations. It was in fact the contract that I had to sign to have the truck moved. From there it was mostly smooth sailing. As the contract stated, they had 10 days from the date we agreed on to get the truck. I believe it took them 5-6 days to get it, and there was some bad weather at the time so they got it on time. They had to reschedule a bit but I realize that this is not a simple letter, but a vehicle so things do come up. Communication at that point was not great, seemed like they didn't contact me until the absolute last minute in each instance, but we were able to work through it. The transport(not one of theirs) arrived in a very good amount of time. Here though is where my problem starts. I agreed to pay a $200 deposit to Trans Auto Transport, then $700 upon delivery. When the driver got there his paperwork stated that I was to pay $800, and he could not release the truck until I did. I paid him so I could get my truck, but ever since then I have been trying to get it straightened out and I have gotten nowhere. The original rep I was talking to(Gary West) is no longer with the company so I have now been dealing with Jesus. The last time I heard from him was a month ago and he said he would get it taken care of. I sent him a copy of my contract, and the paperwork from the driver, and my personal information. I am a very patient person, but the truck was delivered to me on 12/11/13 and I am still waiting for my refund on 3/13/14.

I am sad to say that this would have been a five star review if this had not happened, but now whether or not I would use them again is in the air. I hope to hear back from them soon and I will update this review as such.
