As a first-time car shipper I was glad to work with Bill Ross at Magic Carpet Auto Transport. He was very responsive to phone calls and emails and he found a trucking company that said they could meet my schedule: pick up in VA on Feb 10th, deliver to CA no sooner than Feb 18th, all at a reasonable price: $1385. My only gripe is that the company he found (50 State Auto Transport Inc) interpreted my "no sooner than Feb 18th" delivery window quite liberally: their local agent picked up my car on the 10th but the transport truck didn't actually leave VA until the 19th. And it didn't arrive in CA until the 23rd (a Sunday.) The car arrived dirty on the outside (no surprise after 9 days sitting somewhere in VA and 4 days on a car carrier) but undamaged, and the transport driver was polite and flexible as far as delivery location. I would have rated this experience 5-stars for an on-time delivery. But at 5 days late, the best I can offer is 4-stars.
