I was moving from the Chicago suburbs to California, and decided to ship my vehicle instead of driving. I had a barrage of emails and phone calls from many carriers, and I finally settled on Progressive because of the lowest price and reputation. Frank Martin, the main contact at Progressive emailed me back a quote, and left it at that. He was upfront and honest about the whole process, and said when I was ready to give him a call and he'd schedule a carrier. Other carriers constantly called and emailed saying that his price was too low, and that no one would take it for less than $1200. When I asked them to price match, like they stated on they do on their sites, they didn't bother to price match, instead opted to berate whatever company was giving me a lower offer. A week after contacting Frank, he stated that he found a driver that would do it for $950, which was still lower than other companies. The driver came a day early to pick up, which actually worked out better because there was a huge winter storm that he missed, which most likely would've delayed the pickup. Because of the early pickup, my car arrived a day earlier than scheduled and meant that I was without a car for less than a day. The car arrived in the same condition that it left in, and I paid the remainder of the shipping cost on the spot with no hassle, or bait and switch that of read happens quite often. I'm really happy with the service that I received from Progressive and the carrier they hired, and would gladly do business with them again if the situation ever came up again.
