I didn't want to drive my car from Texas to California and had never used a car shipping company before. I had heard so many horror stories about how people's cars get stolen or damaged while being shipped that I researched for about a month before deciding on 1Flat-Rate. First, this is one of the few auto shipping companies that is accredited by the BBB. For me that was a huge plus. Secondly, this was the ONLY company who didn't ask for a deposit up front. As if that wasn't enough to sell me on the company, all the reviews I read were solid. No complaints about damage to the car or getting charged for services not received. Anyway, I called Ray after receiving an online quote and asked if that was indeed accurate, which he said it was. (No bait and switch like a few other companies I had called before. So that was awesome.)

After a few weeks, I scheduled to have my car picked up. Since I was already in California, I asked if my car could be picked up from a friends house. Not only did the driver (John) call and coordinate with my friend to pick it up, he was extremely kind and professional. My friend even called me to say how great he was and how I picked a really great company. The drop-off was the same. John called me and said he was about 25 miles from my house, but since I was at work, I asked if he could drop it off there. Since it wasn't far from my house, he said sure and within a couple of hours, he was there with my car. I paid him on the spot and that was it. The whole process was simple and quick. If I ever move again, I'm not even going to look at other companies, I'm just going to call 1Flat-Rate, because their customer service is top-notch and I know I'm getting the best.
