My experience with Carlos was less than desirable but nothing as bad as the company that ALS subcontracted the actual transportation of our car to: No Doubt Logistics. My reviews and comments by company can be found below:

ALS:
1) Carlos bragged that the difference between ALS and other shippers was that they cut the middle man out. they said they were the broker and the shipper and that they managed all of the shipments. After we booked, carlos called me back a couple of days later and gave me the contact info of the company they outsourced the transportation of the car to. I probably wouldn't have cared if Carlos didn't brag and make mention of this but it was just a sign of things to come with respect to his honesty.
2) I needed my car picked up on ONE specific day. Most of the carriers I spoke with said that couldn't guarantee one pick up day specifically but within a range. I went with ALS because they said that they could have the car picked up on the day we needed. However to do this, Carlos told me he needed to charge me an extra $100. I said if that's what it takes then fine, we can do that. After I booked with them, Carlos called me back and said 'Great news, I have a truck that can pick up your car earlier than expected'! I told Carlos that the deal was I needed the car picked up on the date given and he argued with me about how I'm liar, a cheat, and needed to work with him and that the truck would be coming a day earlier. I told him to do one of three things 1) refund all of my money 2) refund the extra $100 he asked for to have it picked up the day we gave him 3) send a truck on the day we made the deal with. Carlos continued to curse me out and hang up. Carlos and I never spoke again and a truck showed up on the day we requested but 12 hours later than promised (this is a No Doubt Logistics issue though which I'll address below).

No Doubt Logistics:
Probably the worst company I've ever dealt with and would never recommend again. The amount of lies and BS I was fed throughout our experience was unbelievable.
1) the driver was 12 hours later than they had voluntarily told us and did this to us in 4 hour increments. 'Sorry someone broke into my truck, I'm running late'. 'Sorry there was traffic, I'm running late'. 'Sorry we got lost, I'll be there soon'. Finally when I was just about to give up and request a complete and total refund I called the driver to find out where they were and after ignoring my first three phone calls he picks up and yells 'I'm on my GPS, get off my back' and hung up.
2) We live in a densely populated area of Los Angeles and so to pick our car up, the company sent two drivers in a car to pick our car up to drive it to their truck. They told us that their truck was just outside of the city no more than 10 miles away. I checked the mileage when they picked up the car and I had ensured that I had at least a half a tanik of gas in the car. When the car arrived in Texas, I checked the mileage and there was an extra 120 miles on the car and the car was on empty. I asked the driver about this and he said I must've forgotten and that wasn't the case. Conveniently, the driver didn't write down the mileage on the pick up sheet. The driver told me he drove the car for 10 miles and that was it. I told him that 10 miles would not eat up half a tank of gas and that was not true. Oddly enough, I checked the head quarters location of No Doubt Logistics and it is exactly 120 miles away from my house where they picked up the car. No Doubt did not drive a truck to pick up our car, they drove a car, used our gas and drove that car back to their head quarters before loading the car onto their truck.

I was particularly disappointed since we paid more than we would've with other carriers expecting a premium service andt ipped the drivers well and were treated very disrespectfully and dishonestly. If these two companies are comprised of employees that operate like the people I interacted, they should both be put out of business. Absolutely garbage service. Avoid at all costs.
