A fiasco!

UShip is a third party in the transport process that just adds one more layer to the bureaucracy of finding a transport company. Another broker accepted and booked the price I had agreed on, and later contacted me to ask for more money. When I made several attempts to communicate my concern to UShip, I was given the run-around for a couple of days with no return phone calls. Finally was able to talk to a manager who was sympathetic and told me that this was against their policy. I told them that I appreciated this, but that I was the customer, and they needed to talk to the vendor and get this resolved. The only resolution was canceling my request, refunding my money, and putting me back to searching for a transport. I would not deal with this company again, given their complete lack of customer service and for being too far removed from actually securing a trucker. In hind sight, I would go directly to companies who actually deal directly with trucking companies, and not with other brokers. I ended up transporting the vehicle myself by flying to Kentucky and driving it back to Colorado myself.
