Difficult Move

Transporting a SUV from Connecticut to Houston, TX was extremely difficult. We paid extra to guarantee the pick-up date for Oct. 16 and was told the ETA delivery date would be Oct. 31 (16 days). The vehicle was never traceable on the website so we had to call every day for an update. The vehicle sat at the first terminal for 8 days before it moved to the next terminal to sit a few more days. It finally arrived at the Mesquite, Texas terminal on Nov. 6 at which time we were told it would be delivered door-to-door in Houston on Friday, Nov. 8. We never received a phone call on the 8th so called DAS again on Saturday morning, Nov. 9, only to find out that they are closed until Monday. When we called Monday morning, we were told it would be delivered between 12-2 that afternoon. It finally arrived at 3:30 that afternoon. So it took a total of 27 days in transport, for which we were forced to rent a vehicle for 16 of those days.

We are sorry for our poor execution on your move. Although the delivery date is ESTIMATED, a vehicle arriving at destination 11 days past the ETA is not within our parameters of acceptability. In moving 80,000+ vehicles a year, there are times when a move does not go according to plan. We regret the inconvenience this caused.
