When I originally called to get a quote, Rachael was very helpful, she explained to me everything that was going to happen. She quoted me $965 with a $250 DEPOSIT. However, when the truck was finally booked to pick up my car, I was charged a $250 FEE. Amerifrieght needs to do a better job at explaining that the $250 DEPOSIT is not a deposit it is a fee. They explained that it is fee for dipatching the truck. I understand you need to get paid for services rendered, but please be more up front with your charges. A deposit is money that you get put down and is eventually returned to you. I was under the impression the deposit was to hold my spot to get a truck to transport my car so I wouldn't go to another company. When I was charged the fee, I was told that it wasn't a deposit, that it was a fee. Pretty frustrating something cost an extra $250 unexpectedly and there was nothing they could do about it. Otherwise, everything was fine, Amerifrieght was just less than truthful about their fees.

No matter how hard we try, we will never be able to do business for free. Anyone receiving quotes from companies to ship vehicles will be asked to pay an amount upfront and the balance to the truck on delivery. No matter what it is called, both amounts make up the total shipment cost. We apologize for not making our customer understand the process of payments more clearly.
