Very poor experience

I signed up National Car Transport to try and ship two cars from MA to CA. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience.

Ultimately they couldn't find a carrier to make this trip. And while that can be forgiven , their communication during the process was awful and at times deceptive. In the end, I had to switch brokers, increase the price I offered to ship my cars AND pay for 2 rental cars for a week each while waiting for my cars to arrive. Working with this company, (in good faith), cost me time, money and was a hassle.

Also, I called to check on the process of finding a broker numerous times and RARELY got calls or emails back for Chris Dwyer. I can safely say that I received1 reply for every 4 emails or calls I made.

During the process, they continued to assure me that they were working very hard and would have a carrier identified "today or tomorrow" (something I heard constantly over the week when my cars were ready for pickup. On a few calls one of their reps (not Chris) used a carefully worded script ("My dispatcher is finalizing things with one or two carriers right now...") that was designed to give me hope that the carrier would be confirmed very shortly, but was non-committal enough so that they were not "technically lying". Of course, nothing ever was confirmed.

After finally cancelling with National Car Transport, I switched to another well-reviewed broker on this site and had my shipment confirmed and picked up within 4 days. Lesson learned.
