Eased this first time shipper's nerves from the get-go

I called Fidelity after speaking to several other companies to have my Scion XB shipped from Staten Island, NY to Denver. Their quote was fairly average in comparison to other quotes I received and Jasmine was open to answering all of my questions, and there were many. There was no pressure at all after that first quote over the phone (I received several non-stop phone calls and emails from other companies after initially speaking to them) and I called her back the next day to set everything up. I left a voice mail for Jasmine and 15 minutes later got a call back from a co-worker (whose name escapes me at the moment) who informed me Jasmine left early and he'd be glad to set things up for me if I wanted. After a few emails back and forth to fill out the proper paperwork, I was set to go and made a deposit over the phone.

Three days before my scheduled, I got a call from Vlad from White Nights Trucking in Brooklyn telling me they would be picking up my car in 2 days. I told him I was flying out to Denver that same day so I'd have to have someone else meet him to drop it off. He told me that was fine and that he'd call me back to set up a time. Later that day, he staid he could arrange to pick up my car a day earlier if I was still available. I told him yes and he said he was familiar with my neighborhood and knew how narrow our streets were, so I met him bright and early a few blocks from my house at a parking lot for a local supermarket. I was only the second car to be put on the truck and after a quick inspection, he told me he'd see me in Denver in about 6-7 days.

I got a call from him after 4 days, he told me he would be getting into Denver a day early and could he meet me the next day in the afternoon between 1pm-3pm. I said that was fine, and the next day at exactly 1pm he called me and said he was parked down the block (more narrow streets) and my car was ready to pickup. The Scion was dusty (as expected) but in good shape. I had my son's car seat strapped in the back and it was firmly in place when it came off the truck. And though he was a day early, I saw that he had about 7 more cars that he had picked up since I saw him last in NYC. I did tip him, which he seemed genuinely surprised by, and after a few moments of friendly chit chat, Vlad was on his way to deliver the rest of the cars he had in tow.

The only issue I had was that on the originally contract that was emailed to me, I noticed that my car's model was incorrect (It said XD, not XB). I immediately emailed and left a message at Fidelity telling them about the correction and didn't think it was a big deal so I didn't follow up. Upon pickup, Vlad's contract copy still said XD, which he was a little annoyed about since the XD is significantly smaller than the XB and may cause problems as he picked up more cars on his route.. I explained to him that I did notify Fidelity to correct it two weeks earlier and he shrugged it off like, "Well, what are you gonna do?"

Regardless, Fidelity was a pleasure to work with and Vlad from White Nights was professional and courteous. I'd recommend both companies to anyone looking to ship their car.
