Charged more money a few hours before delivery

I booked online. I did speak to a customer service rep as well. I asked her if they would charge me extra if I packed anything in the vehicle. I was told as long as the belongings were in the trunk and the rear seats and the contents weighed under 100 lbs there would not be a charge. The car was transported from Texas to California. The car was picked up at a friend's house in Texas to be delivered to me in California. My friend in Texas said the driver told her that they might charge me extra because I had contents in the vehicle. I then called Auto Transport and the rep called the driver and the rep said there would not be an extra charge. I told the rep I did not want any problems with my vehicle being delivered. A few hours before the car was to be delivered I was told it would be an extra $40. I could not get a ride to the bank. I walked ten minutes to the store to get the money. The driver called when I was walking back home. I told him I was walking up the hill now and to please wait five minutes. I spoke to Lisa on April 8, 2013 and I told her that I had specifically relied on what I was told by the reps on two different instances stating that I would not have to pay an extra fee. I told her it was very unprofessional to charge me an extra fee a few hours before delivering my vehicle. She became argumentative. Very poor customer service. I would not use this service again nor recommend it to anyone.
