I booked my shipping from Florida to California a week in advance on the website after a very reasonable quote of $995 including brokerage fee. Penny was very helpful on the phone and told me to choose the 23rd as the first available date so that the car would be picked up the 23rd, 24th, or 25th. By the 23rd, I hadn't heard anything, so I sent an e-mail inquiring as to how much notice I would get before the carrier arrived. I was told "We'll know in the morning." The morning came and went without an update on the 24th. I called dispatch in the afternoon and they said "Maybe tomorrow or the next day?" So I sent an e-mail saying I needed to know by 5pm the next day (the last day my car was supposed to be picked up). I finally got a call the next day on the 25th and dispatch let me know that they had found a carrier for the 27th (two days after my latest projected date) and that it would cost $300 MORE to ship the car on the later date. It was such a waste of time during an already very stressful cross-country move and I just couldn't afford the price and the late shipping date. I booked with that quote and in advance for a REASON. They offered to "look for a cheaper option" when I told them I was cancelling, but I wasn't dealing with any more BS. Customer service was very friendly, but ultimately unproductive.
