So this was my first time shipping my car and I had asked several people I know about their experiences and was pretty much told to be careful with who you go with. First thing I was told was don't go chasing the cheapest price and that most of these companies were brokers. I went online and looked up auto shipping companies, using BBB and Transport Reviews as my basis for reliability and legitimacy of companies. I got quotes from several companies, most quoting $900 with a few quoting $600. I went with Amerifreight even though they were a bit more pricey at $950. My reasons were that after speaking with Bob, the first thing he did was break things down for me. He explained the whole process, the rules, the probabilities of your car getting shipped when you wanted at the price you're willing to pay. I was shipping my car from TX to Cali and needed it there by a set time. I didn't mind paying a little extra to go with a highly reputable company because if things didn't go perfectly I knew I'd be able to go to them with issues and they would be able to take care of it. I really appreciated Bob answering all the questions I had about the process. I signed up with them and then got an email from Bob the next day telling me that my car had been dispatched. Didn't expect them to find a shipper so fast as I still had a week before my first available date. Overall, I was very happy with the customer service from Amerifreight, you get what you pay for.
