First I should preface that I am a travel nurse who works coast to coast two to three months at a time so I was wanting to ship my car and not have to drive cross country as I had just drove back home from California. I went with Auto Shipping because they had the lowest quote; this should have been a warning sign. First they were a day late picking up my car and nobody called to notify me it would be picked up a day later than scheduled. I called to find out because I was already out of state and the person who was handing off my car was inconvenienced with having to come back a second day to meet the driver. Why were they late you may ask? Because the original driver had problems with his truck so they had to send another driver. If the company would have notified me of this it would not have been such a big deal. Second reason I was upset was because I was suppose to receive my car on a Saturday by 4:00pm instead I was phoned by the driver at 6:00 and was told he lost keys to my car in the Bronx somewhere and he didn't know where. I was told that they would replace the keys (at no charge) and would pay for a rental car until they could get my keys replaced (which would not be until Tuesday). Guess what it was Saturday at 6:00pm and there was no rental agencies open at that time around me and I was not going to pay the taxi cab fare from Yonkers NY to LGA (over $100.00 one way). The thing that really upset me was the fact that my deceased fathers St. Christopher's medal was on my keychain that I had carried for over four years since he passed away (he always had one on his keychain). How do you replace that? Guess what you can't and I am still looking for a replacement for my keychain I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING SINCE SEPTEMBER 2012 for a St. Christopher's medal that was like my dad's and I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ONE!!!!!!!! So the driver did replace my keys (the only thing they have done so far) at an expense to him at $495.00. Now for my third item of complaint. The first snow storm that hit New York the last week of October I tried to remote start my car from my residence. Guess what it wouldn't start and do you know why? My new keys were not programmed to my remote starter so I had to get them programmed which cost me $125.00 out of pocket. I have been trying since October 2012 to get reimbursed for this and guess what it is now June 2013 that's right folks this has been going on for nine months!!!! I call the company and have talked to Hannah a few times and have left her plenty of messages reminding her about being reimbursed (which she has not returned). Also the dealership that I originally purchased my car from told me it would cost me another $65.00 to get my original key (that was left in my home in Oklahoma) programmed to my car because for some reason it will not work now (is this due to the new keys). I have had other travel nurses ask me about shipping their cars and I emphatically tell them not to use National Auto Shipping. Also, I really had not planned on writing a review but I am now completely fed up with their customer service. I WOULD NOT RECOMOMEND SHIPPING YOUR CAR WITH THEM EVER!!!!!
