The transport of my vehicle by Schumacher Cargo Logistics (SCL) from Virgina to Guam cost $4547.00, which was competitively priced. My first impression was that SCL would accomodate the transport of my car through the use of company owned and operated trucks; however, I discovered that (at least in my situation) SCL coordinates the transport of their clients' cars with independent transport carriers. My agent, Rachel Ulale, explained this arrangement and allayed my concerns by assuring me that the companies SCL partners with are carefully screened. My concerns arose again when the company who SCL selected to transport my car from VA to CA notified me that they too partner with local trucking companies to pre-stage vehicles- too many people handling my vehicle in my opinion. The condition of my vehicle at the final destination, Guam, was filthy (interior and exterior) and damaged. I'm at the preliminary stage of filing a claim.
