i RECEIVED A QUOTE FROM ERNIE TO SHIP MY VEHICLE FROM CALIFORNIA TO NORTH CAROLINA
$895.00 WITH A $195.000 DEPOSIT. I WAS TOLD SHIPPING WOULD BE ARRANGED IN 48HRS. AFTER 3 DAYS I CALLED NATIONWIDE TO INQUIRE ON THE STATUS OF THE CONFIRMATION, I WAS UNABLE TO SPEAK WITH ANYONE AND SO I LEFT SEVERAL VOICEMAIL MESSAGES, I EVEN SENT SOME E-MAIL REQUEST. FINALLY ON DAY 5 I WAS ABLE TO SPEAK WITH ERNIE AND HE ASSURED ME THAT THEY WERE WORKING TO GET A DRIVER AND WOULD CALL ME BACK IN 5MINUTES. WELL 3 HRS PASSED AND NO CALL. I ATTEMPTED TO CALL THE MAIN PHONE NUMBER AND ALL THE OPTIONS WENT TO VOICE MAIL. DAY 6 I CALLED AGAIN, THIS TIME I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS ACTUALLY CONNECTED TO THE DISPATCH MANAGER. THE MANAGER ASSURED ME THAT THEY WERE WORKING WITH A DRIVER TO SHIP THE VEHICLE AND THAT IT WOULD BE SHIPPING SHORTLY (?). DURING THE CONVERSATION WITH THE MANAGER I MENTIONED THAT I WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE A REFUND ON MY DEPOSIT SO THAT I COULD MOVE ON TO ANOTHER COMPANY. NATIONWIDE'S DEPOSIT REFUND POLICY STATES THAT YOU CAN RECEIVE A REFUND AS LONG A NO DRIVER HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TO THE VEHICLE, WHICH WAS THE CASE WITH MY VEHICLE. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS RUBBISH, THEY DO NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS, NOR DO THEY ANSWER THEIR E-MAIL REQUEST. IN THIS INFORMATION AGE YOU'D THINK THAT A SHORT NOTE TO LET YOUR CUSTOMER KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT JUST SELLING LIP-SERVICE, AND THAT YOU TRULY CARE ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS, WOULD BE A STANDARD. I WILL NEVER USE NATIONWIDE AGAIN, NOR RECOMMEND THEM TO MY MANY MILITARY FRIENDS THAT SHIP CARS ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES AND ABROAD.
