very poor communication

I knew that it could take quite awhile due to the service I selected, or that it might not work out at the low price given. I was fine with the process outlined on the web site. I was expecting to be contacted periodically in order to approve a higher bid, or increase the offer price, etc, as time went on.

The problem is that after I paid the deposit and submitted the order, well in advance of the first available date for pickup, I never once received a call from Jorge about the status of my order. After about 10 days, I called and left a few voicemails asking for status. He never returned my calls. Finally I called and got through to him, and he said that they were working on the order, and would call me back in two more days for status update. He did not call back at that time. I called him a few times over the next week and left voicemails again. He never returned my calls.

Finally after multiple attempts to reach him, I did get through today and canceled my order. It has been 30 days since my vehicle was first available for pickup, and in that time he never once called me about the status of my order.

I knew that it may never get picked up at that price; I knew that I might need to increase the bid several times in order to get it picked up; these are not my complaints. My complaint is that Jorge never ever once called me back after I paid my deposit and submitted the order. To me this is unacceptable customer service.

I will say that once I finally spoke to him, he promptly canceled my order. As another reviewer mentioned, it was the only prompt response I ever received from him.

I selected Amerifreight solely due to their many excellent reviews, and probably 99% of people receive excellent customer service. I don't understand what happened here with Jorge. All I needed from him was timely communication about my order, and he completely failed in that regard.

We are very disappointed to see two negative reviews in one week and we will definitely follow up on the poor and unacceptable service our customer received from us. As it was said, we have a very impressive track record of positive and exceptional reviews and we cannot afford these type of responses.
