I chose AmeriFreight Shipping after putting in a bid request. They came in about middle of the first bids. After reviewing an Googleing them and the other Shippers and talking/E-mailing to them, AmeriFreight won out for me.
Jorge Cruz was my contact with AF. He explained the process and what to expect from the carriers. Got a "good" feeling from the chat. He was not pushy or condesending. Seemed forthright and honest.
After about a week of waiting for a carrier to accept the bid ($645.) ( it was a low rate bid) he called to say we had a shipper willilng to pick-up for an extra $100. This was expected being a low bid. I was not able to respond quick enough and missed (my fault, out of town) the first carrier. Jorge got another offer the next day and I accept the bid at the extra $100.
The carrier picked up the Westy on Wed. I called the Carrier Thur. to see where and how things were going. (Ca. had rain and snow falling, moving into the Rockies.) (expected drop was Fri.) He thought he might be able to drop it off that night. (Thur.) Due to the weather the carrier didn't make it that night. 6:00 next morning (Fri.) the Carrier called and said he would drop the Westy off shortly. Drop off was uneventful and as promised.
AmeriFreight delivered as promised. Would use them again. 940013522-IT SS.
