After reading the slew of horrible reviews I was nervous going with any shipping company. I understand almost all carriers are merely brokers who use a different company to actually ship the vehicle. I submitting requests for quotes to ship my 2012 Triumph Scrambler from NYC to N.E. Florida on a Sunday, received quotes on Monday with the bike available to ship the next day and that's exactly what happened.

Ray from Protected Auto Carriers sent me an email with a quote on Monday to which I responded with a call. He told me that my bike could be picked up on the following Thursday and delivered by Saturday. I put down a deposit and then requested that the transport company accept credit card for the final payment. Ray found a company that was able to accommodate this request and provided me with a shipping invoice within a matter of hours.

By Monday afternoon the dispatch from Protected called me and said a driver would be in my area the very next day. She gave me the number to Ambela (now known as We Move For You). The number given to me was not the correct number, but they people with whom I spoke were able to get me in touch with the right person quite easily.

I immediately pulled up reviews for Ambela and again was a little nervous. But Art at Ambela was very kind and knowledgeable. I wanted reassurance that the driver he was sending was familiar with motorcycles and knew how to take care of them and he assured me that my guy was the "best". He gave me the drivers name and cell phone and told me to expect a call later in the day.

At the end of the day, I called the driver (Vladimir) and asked for an approximate time. He said he expected to be to my apartment hopefully before noon. NYC traffic very rarely allows for early arrival so I didn't expect him to be early. He called me when he was 40 minutes away and arrived promptly at 12:00. After doing an inspection of the bike (I also had taken thirty pictures of my own, just to have documentation), he rolled the bike into an enclosed carrier - nothing fancy - but secure and safe for the motorcycle. When I asked how long it would take for him to deliver the bike he said "tomorrow". Sure enough, he called my Dad a few hours before he arrived and then as he was pulling in the driveway - 1 day 4 hours after pick up, my bike was delivered safe and sound with absolutely no blemishes, damages, or added mileage.

I can't attest to the capabilities of any other people associated with these companies, but Ray, Art, and Vladimir were great. I would definitely use them again for shipping our motorcycle.
