I contacted Amerifreight after buying a classic one-owner Lotus Esprit on Ebay. I was very concerned about selecting the right transportation supplier to move this special vehicle. A friiend had just completed a successful move of his daughter's car from CA to PA, using Amerifreight, so I elected to contact Amerifreight on-line.
I placed an on-line bid request on the Amerifreight website and received a reply from Bob Turner the next morning. The price was very reasonable, so I called and spoke to Bob personally. Bob was very honest from the moment we started discussing my situation. He explained that moving a delicate classic British sports car from MT to PA was a tall order to fill at the quoted price and that it might take several days to locate an interested hauler. We agreed to proceed with the search and the order.
To my surprise, within 2-hours of placing the order with Bob, he successfully landed an interested hauler, Pacific Auto Delivery, Inc out of WA. They agreed to collect the car from the MT location and deliver to PA within 7-days. I spoke to the dispatcher at Pacific one time to verify he had the necessary documentation for the job. They contacted my representative at the pickup location 24 hrs in advance, collected the car at the arranged time, then contacted me to schedule delivery in PA less than 48 hrs (during a holiday weekend) after collecting the car in MT.
When Sergey arrived with my car I was pleased to see his enclosed rig was a clean, well maintained 6-car carrier with a platform tail. He and his partner were friendly, handled the Lotus carefully and executed the entire unloading without starting the car (at my request).
I have to say that Amerifreight and Pacific Auto Delivery both exceeded my expectations. I received great service on a difficult assignment in record time and at a very reasonable price.
