2 cars were shipped- 2007 Volvo S40 and 2010 Infiniti G35 on April 03. I was moving from Baltimore MD to Valencia, CA and had heard horror stories about auto movers. I called a few places, got quotes and decided to use the folks that seemed the friendliest and informative as the costs were comparable. The ranges I got were $2000-2600. Chris was highly helpful since the start, he explained step by step the process and asked questions that were important to me about date availabilities and approximately when was I planning on getting them to Valencia. After explaining Chris what I was looking for he suggested releasing dates and transit time. He really helped out to work with my schedules both at pick up and delivery.
Each time I called, Chris seemed friendly and helpful.
Chris gave a 2-3 day window for pick up and delivery. Expected transit time was 7-14 days. I got a call from the driver the day before saying the pickup would be around 1–4 PM and he showed up by 2:30PM, On time!
Driver spent about 15 minutes inspecting each car and marking all scuffs, scratches, dents etc. I was there taking pictures and video of the process in case something went wrong. The driver also answered questions I had, (I think his name was Mark) and he was very friendly and respectful. It took a total of about 45 minutes for him to load both cars.
Although transit was supposed to be 7-14, he called me on Saturday(couple days earlier than expected) to say he was near Valencia and could deliver on Sunday or Monday. I told him I wasn't ready Sunday unless he delivered at a nearby different location with a relative. So he delivered Sunday morning and at my request, delivered to a DIFFERENT address than I originally. Because delivery was so early, our rental home wasn't available yet so I had him deliver to the place were my relatives stay. No problems at all!
The delivery site was a cul-de-sac so I was concerned about his ability to back into it and suggested we meet in the huge parking lot of the Shopping center next door. But he proved his skill and backed in to the cul-de-sac.
My cars were in perfect condition. They were a bit dusty but I think that is to be expected. No damages, no extra mileage on them, nothing missing from the trunk. No signs of tampering... no missing change from the ashtray.
I was very pleased with Chris and impressed with the way everything was handled. Chris called me a day before pick up, during transit to give me an update and the day of delivery to get a status check.
I would use them again, ask for Chris when you call United Auto Transport, he will take care of you!
