I had initially placed a shipping order with Express Auto Transport based on their low shipping quote of $635. However, Express Auto Transport was never able to confirm me a truck after 2 weeks+ of waiting so I called the dealer and asked him for some help. The dealer called around and was able to find Absolute Auto Carrier which would have a truck available within days for $699; so I placed an order with Absolute Auto Carriers. Like Chris said from Absolute Auto Carriers, the car was picked up within days of the order being placed and arrived at my driveway ahead of schedule! Kudos to Absolute Auto Carriers!
On the other hand, Express Auto transport really drops the ball in a number of areas:
-Firstly, I was required to pay a down payment on the order before a truck was assigned. Words of advice: don't use a broker who requires money up front as you shouldn't have to pay a deposit until the truck has been assigned.
-Secondly, After 2 weeks of waiting for Express Auto to get a truck and still not having a truck scheduled, they still were unwilling to waive the $50 non refundable charge even though they did nothing for me.
-And Lastly, They refuse to return phone calls from me when I make it clear it is unacceptable for them to hold on to my refund for 10 additional business days, when at the same time they required me to pay in order to process the order.
So bottom line, research more than just the quote when looking for a good auto transport broker.
