I made the mistake of underestimating how quickly your carriers would
respond, and schedule a pick-up. Got a bank holiday in the mix, and we
weren't able to send a money order to the destination point before the
carrier was ready to do the deed. So, word to the wise, don't assume you are
going to have to wait forever. Better to just get your ducks in a row.
I'm in a dinky town in TN. Therefore, I assumed that it would be a long,
long time before anybody would be swinging this way to pick up my car for
delivery to PA. My mistake.
These people have it going on. Rescheduling was not a problem for them.
Communication was great. The driver was fast, friendly, and efficient. He called me when he got on the road, called me again about halfway, and called me to say he'd arrived at the pickup point I told him about (big, big truck). And while I was meeting him, the company called to say he was there. Took maybe 10 minutes to load the car and give me a receipt.
This was my first experience shipping a car, and I was a bit nervous about it going in. But everything went so smoothly, it was almost fun.
