Disappointed After Reading So Many Positive Reviews

I chose Aaall States because of all the great reviews. So here is mine... The only time I was able to talk to Steve on the phone was when I was spoke to him about the quote and agreed to sign the contract with Aaall States. After this first conversation he never answered the phone, but he did always answer my e-mail promptly. When I spoke to him I told him that I was flexible with the pickup date, but he made it sound that the car would be picked up within a few days of the actual pickup date. I waited, and waited, and waited. After about a week I e-mailed him and he said he would give up some of his commission to pay the driver more and that hopefully this would help. This happened twice more and after over 2 weeks I decided cancel. In the end Steve said he didn't blame me for wanting to cancel and he cancelled my contract promptly so that I could arrange with another company. He never said what the problem was but perhaps it was not a popular route (NY to OR) or Aaall States just started the price out too low for the drivers? I ended up going with a local company in Vancouver, WA and they had my car picked up in about a week for about $100 more.
