Subject: TERRIBLE
Review:DAS shipped my new car and caused over $800 in damage. Part of my hood was smashed in and the paint was missing down to the metal. I called them to file a claim & was told they have a DEDUCTABLE FOR THE DAMAGE THEY CAUSE TO YOUR VEHICLE. Also, if you don't read the fine print very carefully they you will not see that they say they are not liable for damages above $150. They can total your car, give you a $150 and walk away. It gets better. After they agree to send $150 for the $800 in damages they caused they said it would take 30 business days to send the check. It has now been 45 days and there is no check. I called and the rude woman I spoke with gave some vauge excuses about problems in the processing department. This has been a nightmare...one of the worst transactions I have had in my life. Avoid this company at all costs. Also, you should know that they don't consider themselves liable for scratches and chips they cause.

A unique feature of using DAS is the option of saving money on shipping by waiving damge coverage, as is the case here. When a customer decides to waive coverage to get a discounted rate, they are agreeing that damage coverage, if needed, will be handled by their personal auto policy. Under this discount program, DAS liability is limited to $150.00.
