DAS shipped my pristine VW Beetle from Linden, NJ, to Honolulu, HI, in July 2009. When the car arrived (late), it had long scrapes across the entire back bumper, dozens of paint chips all over the body and INTERIOR damage. How did it get INTERIOR damage if nothing could be inside the vehicle to be shipped??? There was a large scrape on the dashboard, the leather seat on the driver's side was rubbed, AND the outside mirror joystick was snapped off!!! It seemed to me that DAS had shipped something inside my car that was long and rested on the dashboard and by the driver's seat for this damage to have happened.
The company was a NIGHTMARE to deal with over the damages and they initially refused to pay for the damages at all. NEVER AGAIN!!! It cost several THOUSAND DOLLARS to get repaired. I got <$500 from my claim with DAS.
And, to top it all off, the car arrived absolutely FILTHY.

| DAS has researched this shipment. The inspection of the vehicle completed at origin indicates that the car was not prisitne, but actually had many chips and scratches prior to DAS taking custody of the vehicle. However, it was determined that some of the damage claimed was new and the claim was settled to cover those items. |
