Unbelievable service!!
I purchased a vehicle on e-bay on a Saturday, Jan.9 and then started looking at transportation companies to get it here. After filling out a form for multi-quotes on line, my email box, and telephone started ringing the next two days. I had no idea how all this worked until I started reading reviews on this forum. I have never before purchased a vehicle on line, nor transported one by a carrier. I spent many hours reading reviews here, checking out company websites, to even begin to have an idea of company creditability. Quotes were from 375 to 990. Do be aware there are paid reviews on this forum. I immediately eliminated all of those. I first checked out the companies that e-bay suggests on shipping quotes. Their reviews here were a real eye opener!! Continued with checking out the reviews of the companies that had sent quotes. In addition to finding the carrier and not having a firm date it could be picked up, I had to wait till the wire transfer was completed. I expected that to occur on January 13th.
Then on January 13, 2010 the Hatti earthquake hit! I could not place any long distance calls, and long distance incoming calls were not working either. My cell phone will only work reliably about 10 miles away from where I live! So I could not get any information on whether the money had been received by the seller or if the transportation company selected, Suncoast Auto Transport, had picked up the vehicle.
One of my deciding factors on the 20 plus companies that had contacted me was the following:
1) were they BBB rated
2) if so what was their rating
3) this company is rated A-

At 4:30PM on January 13, a long distance phone call came in from an individual named 'STAN'. (I now knew my phone was working and immediately called the seller to confirm everything after talking to Stan). He said I have your truck and I would like to deliver it tonight. After picking myself up off the floor- - he asked what time I went to bed. He then said I can have it there before 10PM. He called again around 7PM to say yes that he would indeed be here. At 9:45PM he pulled into my driveway.
Becky was great at informing me and reassuring a first time user. They only use 5 star companies to do the delivery. If you go with the lowest bidder, the vehicle can wait until all the higher paying deliveries have been taken first. This could be days or weeks. When I was back in town 2 days later, there were voicemails waiting from Becky as well as Christina on my cell phone giving details on where and how things were progressing. Absolutely would use this company again!!!
