We hired PDQ to move my fiance's car from IN to CA. The truck driver showed up on time for pick up but he missed the scheduled delivery by 3 days. During those three days, the driver suggested 4 rescheduled delivery time that he missed them, keeping us waiting at home for him to call us ...
It was a complete disaster ... poor moving service, very impolite and offensive driver from Exit 15 company who violated the basic needs for conducting the service. He even threatened us to drop the car in highway when we called him to see why he has missed the rescheduled delivery time.
Upon the delivery we found a large scratch on the driver's side back seat door. The driver rudely denied the responsibility for that so we contacted PDQ to resolve this matter. Greg from PDQ appeared like a nice man at the beginning but he did nothing to help us to get the moving company responsible for the damage to the car. He just gave us the phone number of Insurance company but since the driver had $1000 deductible we could not get any money from the insurance company. And of course the driver were not willing to pay for the damage either ...
Since we had a contract with PDQ I contacted PDQ again but they did not help ... they encouraged us to file a law suit against the Moving company (Exit 156) or the driver.
As of now, we are in the process of canceling the down payment for this transaction but the cost of fixing the scratch is much higher than that. So we have to pay about $250 out of pocket, after we get the credit card dispute resolved, to fix the scratch.
PDQ is a cheap broker that contracts with unprofessional auto mover companies. They offer $100 to $200 less compared to professional auto movers but if you hire them, then you should wish yourself good luck because you cannot keep them responsible for the damage to your car.
Avoid PDQ if you care about your car!!!

PDQ apologizes for this customer's experience, however, it is Exit 15 Trucking that the consumer is complaining about. We spoke with this customer at least 6 times before they ordered and during every conversation stressed the importance of filling out the bill of lading properly. Yet when his car was delivered damaged he did not mark this or state it any where on the bill of lading. If he had it would have made his claim a viable one to handle. We did do everything in our power to have his repairs paid for but when he signed the bill of lading he blatantly stated that the vehicle was not damaged. We like most others listed on this site are brokers and are not able to add additional insurance to our customers vehicles. When we suggested he seek legal recourse he said that it was our responsibility. Well, the law states otherwise and we cannot sue a truck company for damages done to a customer's vehicle. This time he became irate most likely due to his own mistake and the inability to fix this simply and cut off communication with us. When his cc company contacted us we did refund a portion of his money and we made it clear to his cc company that the contract he signed released us of any responsibility for damages as with all auto brokers. We will reiterate that all this could have been avoided if the bill of lading was properly filled out as stated in our terms and conditions. In fact, this customer was so consumed and worried about damage, we mention, again, that we went over the procedure of releasing, accepting and bill of lading several times. Very unfortunate situation. We are a fair and honest company and work hard to deliver the best rates out there without gouging consumers on the price!
