Subject: Countrywide Auto Transport Lack of Performance
Review:Countrywide Auto Transport was quick to offer their services, and their ad seemed reasonable. The initial contact person (Nicole) was friendly and knew her lines. But after the fees were paid, I was never able to contact Nicole again to inquire about my order. I was transferred from phone to phone, until I got someone who promised Countrywide was doing everything they could to ensure my vehicle would be picked up and shipped as soon as possible.
I requested and was told my vehicle would be shipped in an enclosed auto transport. When it was picked up in Oregon, the driver was very considerate and showed great care and concern for my vehicle, as its an antique. My vehicle was driven onto the transport, and was supposed to be covered with plastic.
I subsequently found that Countrywide is a broker as well. Had I known this to begin with, I would have used someone else. As it was, Plycar was the company that was contracted to deliver the vehicle in South Carolina. I had to contact Plycar, as they had not been given my contact information from Countrywide.
The day my vehicle arrived, I wasn't given any advance notice. Furthermore, the driver couldn't drive his rig all the way into my neighborhood, so I went to meet it. That's when I found that my vehicle was not driveable, as someone left the ignition on. To worse yet, the vehicle was in the back of a MOVING VAN! The driver had to arrange to have a flatbed tow truck meet him and winch the vehicle from the back of the moving van, onto the tow truck, then drive to my residence and offload my vehicle.
I would say that Countrywide should at least reimburse me for a replacement battery, and should refund a percentage of the shipping fee, because they failed to deliver as promised, and in a timely fashion.
I would suggest using the Better Business Bureau (BBB) as a reliable source for references before contracting with any carrier. Had I done this first, I would have found the BBB rates Countrywide as a 'F'. Good luck, and don't use Countrywide.

We Countrywide Auto Transport are A high volume shop. We have been in the transportation industry just over 20 years and we transport up to 1,000 vehicles a month. As a high volume shop, we are bound to have an occasional unhappy customer. With the volume that we do (According to Transport reviews) verses the number of complaints that we allegedly have (According to Transport reviews), we show a .53 % ratio of customers (Happy Or Unhappy) that have actually posted a Blog on Transport Reviews. This means that for every 300 customers, we have 1 Possible unhappy customer. Although 0% ratio of unhappy customers is our obvious daily goal, we do on occasion get a customer that just can not be pleased. In the customer service industry, it is close to impossible to please every one.

In addition to that, we (Countrywide Auto Transport) obviously know each and everyone of our customers. More that half of the Blogers with complaints on Transport Reviews are in fact Unverifiable. Unfortunately a web site such as Transport Reviews, gives "one unhappy customer" an opportunity to post 5 or even 10 fake Blogs. Many of the Blogs on this web site are in fact over exaggerated, outrageous and or fabricated stories. We are currently consulting an attorney in reference to verifying the origin of these unverifiable "unhappy customers" Making sure that they are not from one malicious individual. Upon discovering who theses malicious Blogers are, we will pursue legal action immediately for Defamation Of Character. It is a travesty for a web site such as Transport Reviews, which is intended to help the Consumer, mislead and misinform them instead. As well as unfortunately give an opportunity to anyone that wasn’t "happy", to "bash" an honest and hard working company. We have, are and always will strive to provide all of our customers with a hassle free transport with the best customer service.
