| Terrible Communication |
Just to makes things clear, I have STILL not received my vehicle 21 days after pick-up.
This was an ebay purchase, my first auto ebay purchase. Seller was the best communicator I have had in my 10+ years of dealing on ebay...top notch. United Road has been the absolute worst communicators I have seen in a company to date.
Vehicle was located just outside a large city, so pick-up of vehicle was very prompt...seller sent me pictures of vehicle being loaded etc... then I don't hear from United Road for almost a week, when I finally get a phone call telling me that the vehicle will be delivered the following Tues or Wed. I thought perfect, 2 weeks to the day for delivery...not the fastest but acceptable for the 1500 mile trip.
Tuesday rolls around, no contact from United Road...Wednesday rolls around, no contact from United Road...Thursday rolls around, STILL no contact from United Road, so I call them. Turns out their truck is only 320 miles from me ( < 5 hours travel time), and that it will be delivered to me that very same afternoon or evening! OK Great! But where was the 12-24 hour advance phone call? Ahhh, whatever my vehicle will be here today!!
So, FRIDAY rolls around... STILL NO VEHICLE, and STILL NO CONTACT from United Road. OK So this is now getting a little ridiculous! I get a hold of them, and again, as the same as yesterday, they have a hard time finding my order (even tho I gave them the VIN #, Order #, Original Truck # etc...), then they find it and are having a hard time locating the driver. Finally they find him and he is still in the same city he was yesterday, and presumably even longer. WTF!?! Turns out the driver was sick and didn't want to do the drive...fine... but SOMEBODY contact me and tell me this.
So, after they contacted the driver they call me back (What the FIRST phone call and communication on United Roads part was over 2 weeks into the shipment and AFTER several phone calls on my part!), saying the driver was feeling better and that he would make his way this way over the weekend and should be able to deliver Monday (day # 20).
Well...today is Monday, day #20, and STILL NO COMMUNICATION from United Road...so here we go again...have to call them. Again, can't find order, can't find driver...finally after a bit on the phone, they say the vehicle is at a local depot....GREAT! I was thinking, FINALLY! Nope...will take up to 2 days for a local driver to go and grab the vehicle and deliver it to me.
This will put us up to 23 days since the initial pickup.... ZERO communication from their part. 4 different delivery days in which I had to take off work to wait for the delivery, and STILL no guarantee the vehicle will be delivered.
There is NO REASON anybody should ever use this company...try using uShip instead...which is what I was originally going to do...and wished I did. The only reason I went with United Road is they were recommended by Ebay...who should also think twice about having United Road as a Preferred Parner.
