I signed up on line with this company, based on their bid of $400 for transport. I was then required to pay a deposit of $150 to accept this bid, which I then paid on-line.
A week after the bid was placed, they notificed me that they could not find any trucker willing to accept the $400 bid, which they made just the week before. They claimed high gas prices, but those gas prices were the same when they made the $400 bid.
They then contacted me to say a trucker would do the transport for $500, which I agreed to pay in order not to start over with another trucking company.
When the vehicle arrived, I was asked to pay $500 COD. When I told the trucker I already paid a deposit of $150 to All Across America, he told me that was not his fee, but he was owed $500! I had no choice but to pay that $500 in order to get my car.
so the so called deposit that All Across America paid me was not taken as a deposit, but they kept that just as their fee for arranging transport. That's unethical and not what they present to the customer.
