| Cincinnati, Ohio to Sacramento, Ca after a Blizzard |
After the contract was finalized to transport my daughter's Jetta to California, the 1st carrier called to arrange a pick-up. The driver didn't seem to know that our area was in the middle of a 12" blizzard. He never made it, after several attempts to call him, he admitted to being in an accident in PA. I called back to the Specialty Mobile dispatcher, and we agreed to reschedule with another carrier. Dynasty Auto transport was chosen , and their dispatcher arranged to pick up the car at 7AM at a local WalMart parking lot. The driver did a detailed, inspection, and we turned the car over to him. He estimated arrival on Tuesday, but they called my daughter on Monday to say that they would be in the area. Since the drop off location chosen was 120 miles from where my daughter was staying, we agreed with Specialty Mobile to drop the car off at a local Sacramento carriers lot, and then meet her near the airport at her discretion for a $95 fee. The communication to Dynasty Auto was not that clear and it took several calls on my part to insure that everyone was on the same page as far as where and when the car was to be dropped off. Also, since Specialty Mobile had to pay the carrier instead of me, I had to pay an additionl $30 to cover the cost of them paying the carrier, and then my credit card was billed for the total amount. My daughter says that the car was delivered undamaged, except for some small issue with the drivers door lock button. Since we made the decision to ship a car late, we could have had the car there waiting for her if we started the process a few days sooner. Amy, Cory, and Dee were always courteous and willing to help answer questions.
