I contracted with American Auto to relocate my car from California to Texas. I selected them because of the price and definitely got what I paid for....Poor customer service. I've given this whole ordeal a lot of thought and feel the source of all this angst is their customer service rep, Dianne. She is unprofessional, uncourteous and incompetent. If you read all of the other reviews, I am seeing a theme, including her responses....excuses, excuses, excuses. Don't put yourself in a position where they have already collected your car and all you can do is deal with Dianne.
I ended up feeling so badly treateed, that I happily ended the contract and paid the $75.00 penalty to end the contract. I ended up going with another auto transporter and am VERY HAPPY that I did.

| Sometimes you just can not please a customer, no matter what you do!! This was booked for a pick up on 6/18. The customer booked this at a discounted rate and chose an estimated pick up date with a 5 to 7 day window, I arranged for a trucker to be there on the 19th, that is 1 day after her start date, well within the estimated window. However, she was not happy with this and demanded we pick up on the 18th. When we explained her contract and our timing she became upset repeatedly called our customer service agent Elaine, sometimes calling 20 times in an hour. What we had thought to be a smooth transaction ended up being a problem. After speaking to me, (yes, I am Dianne) and not likeing the answers I gave her ( I told her the trucker would be there on the 19th and that if she needed a guaranteed pick up on the 18th she would have to pay for that service) she cancelled. We then refunded her promptly. I don't believe this review is at all credible, and rather that it's the rant of someone needing to vent after expecting to get guaranteed service at a cheaper rate then everyone else! |
