I went with 1st Choice, even though they quoted me significantly higher than every other broker, because they PROMISED me over the phone that a truck could pick up my car on monday. Every other cheaper broker said they couldnt get to it until at least thursday. 1st Choice failed to fulfill their promise, and picked up my car late Wednesday night, but they told me it wouldnt affect delivery time, and it would be delivered the following tuesday. Well, they were wrong, because here it is thursday and the car is still not here.
In fairness, the women at 1st choice were available for communication. Unfortunately, they just did not have any answers for me. For example, they told me the driver was at one place, and when i contacted the trucker, he was about 12 hours from getting to that point. Further, every time i spoke to the trucker, he said he would be here at a certain time then failed to make it.
I am a reasonable person and I understand things happen, but it was a very frustrating experience overrall. I have to say I would never use this company again, despite their glowing reviews on this site.

1st Choice Shipping does not in any way feel that we gave this customer the run around. This industry is by far NOT perfect. We will be the first to tell you that! Please look at this customer’s information of the side. Read his pick up times and delivery length.
#1 $1100 –for an across country move with gas prices in CA (his destination) over $3.00 per gallon right now is not at all high. Do you want a good driver?
#2 We tell all of our customers on the phone AND in writing (in our contract and on our quote pages) NORMAL SCHEDULING PERIOD FOR ANY VEHICLE—is 2 to 10 days if you are booking your vehicle, right when it is ready. With two weeks notice we need about a 4 day window for scheduling. NORMAL TRANSIT TIME--- for coast to coast it 7 to 10 days Half Way across country 6-3 days and in state 1-3 days. Driver can only drive so many hours per day, it is the law.
Please know when booking with us, you will get a broker that will stay in communications with you, and your driver’s dispatch center (the drivers bosses). Drivers can be undependable at times, that if why you need us. As you can see from our other reviews 99 percent of all our vehicles are delivered on time and damage free.
We apologise Edward if you feel we did not take care of your shipping needs, but we are glad you vehicle arrived safely across country to you in 8 days, adn 4 day from the day you called us. |
