I obtained quotes from ALOT of transport companies and verbally interviewed several with good ratings and pricing under $1000. I originally selected Wheeler Shipping due to speaking with LaRay, who was very helpful, knowledgeable, and reassuring that the p/u location wouldn't be a problem....and who went the extra mile to research our unusual vehicle-type.
However, the seller of the vehicle highly recommended Heartland Transport based on his previous experiences, and because they were located in NM, he thought they might be more apt to p/u in Taos, NM and move to a larger city if needed to locate a carrier. They quoted $900 to our seller, but $1100 to us a week later due to increase in gas $. They agreed to charge us $1000.
We ordered the pickup in Taos, NM on Mon, 5/8. The vehicle was picked up on Tues, 5/9. The carrier contacted us in the AM on Friday, 5/12 to notify us of delivery in the PM. We received it in good condition in Columbus, OH on Friday, 5/12. We were very pleased with the service!!!
Also, Heartland Transport accepted credit card for the entire payment...so we did not have to worry about paying the carrier at delivery.
