| Viking (Biloxi to Las Vegas) | | I requested a quote to transport a cargo van from Biloxi to Las Vegas. Viking came in WELL below the cost of the other transport companies. When I originally called, they added $100 to the quote when they realized this was a cargo van and not a stand... [ More ] | | Mr. Green when you requested a quote for a Van you were not specific in that type of vehicle it was. So based on the size and weight of this oversize vehicle, Tony suggested to you that he would recommend an additional $200. You bulked at this and started complaining to Tony as how they can quote one price and suggest another one and Tony explained to you the reason for the upgrade, and remember it was only a quote not a contract.
You finally accepted to pay only an additional $100 reluctantly, even though we were suggesting that this size o this van would need more money to move it. You still insisted on only going up $100.
In my opinion we should have not accepted you as a customer because from the moment you set this up, you were going to be and became very difficult customer to work for and satisfy. You were calling into this office multiple times every day, one day it was counted that you called this office twelve times, insisting why your van had not been picked up and you were constantly rude to our operators, and this went day after day. And since you were calling into this office so much there was no reason to call you since we knew you would probably be calling back very soon since you were doing this everyday. Your van was not being picked up because the price was not correct and this was informed to you. You finally decided to cancel and seek another form of transportation.
Your deposit has been refunded to you in full, and Mr. Green you are 100% aware of this. We apologize that we were not able to pick up your cargo Van in a timely manner, but if you would have gone with our suggested price, it would have been picked up….Richard H.

You contracted with Viking Auto Transport to move your vehicle from Minnesota to Colorado, your estimated pick up day was for 08/04-08/05. It’s clearly stated that Viking requires a three day window for pick up, this was clearly explained to you at the time that you set up your transport with Viking. On 08/04 you were contacted by Viking and we also e-mailed to you the drivers contact information providing their phone number and pick up dates and delivery dates. Viking Auto transport had assigned Parkway Auto Transport to pick up your vehicle on 08/06 which you had full knowledge. When the driver called you on 08/05 to set up the time for the pick up. You told the driver that since we were not picking up the vehicle on 08/05, “Do not come to pick up the vehicle”, you sir took the initiative of canceling your own truck. Viking Auto Transport did not breach their contract and they did not “LOW BALL YOUR QUOTE”, we had Parkway Auto Transport ready and willing to pick up your vehicle on a timely manner. And we have full documentation of the fact that this all was in place. So sir you really left out a lot of very important information in you review….. Richard H.

[ More ] | | Miss Jessie know one called you a liar, actually you were insinuating that Tony trying to scam you over $10, he was actually trying to explain to you tat Aaron had made a $10 miscalculation in the price, that’s all a simple $10 mistake. And you failed to mention that Tony was going to honor the price if $850, so you would not be upset over the $10 mistake. So Tony did try to satisfy you with the price that you insisted on. Even after Tony let you know that he was going to honor the $850 price, you rudely told him in a not so lady manner that you did not want the service anymore. So your order was canceled immediately before you became a customer. So in essence you really don’t have the right to go on this site and post this frivolous dispute over a simple $10 mistake. When you were not even a customer of Viking became it never came to that point. Unfortunately we are human here at Viking and sometime we do make mistakes, but we will try to correct it if can. [ More ] | | Mr. Pompel, I apologize to you that you would not recommend Viking Auto Transport, considering we worked very hard in getting your car picked up and delivered.
And we are very surprised by your negative rating of us. I will have to point out that you are leaving a lot of important information out of this review, information that perhaps your father is not telling you or you are deliberately leaving it out.
Let’s start with the original quote that your father received from us that was in the $1000 range. Your father told Tony that he did not want to pay this amount; he told us what he wanted to pay. He was told by Tony, that we would not recommend this price, since it would take a long time for his car to get picked up, since their was a lot of cars waiting in California to get picked up, and the drivers were picking up that cars that were paying more money first and going back for everything else. I will strongly point out to you that Viking those not “LOW BALL”, we successfully move between 1 50 to 200 cars per month so if we low balled we would not be able to do this. All you have to do is read all the rest of positive reviews on here for you to determine this.
Again let me go back to the pricing that we offered your father. He did not want to pay the price at the time. But your father being that he was in the business felt that he knew more than we did, so he felt that he would pay a lower price and take is chances. He felt that he might find a driver that another customer canceled and he would get is car picked up for less. This did not happen, yes the pick up day came and went, and your father started to panic calling our office constantly. We continue making calls to the drivers that do this route; we just don’t post the jobs on load boards and hope that someone picks it up. If your father would have gone with the original quote and not tried to save money, your car would have been picked up on schedule. But I’m very happy that your car was finally picked up for the original price that was quoted. For your inconvenience and the extra cost Viking will refund our fee of $120 in full and hope that you would reconsider in using Viking in the future. Thank You……. Richard H. G .M.

| Deposit Refund | | When I contact Mr Tony Dees about taking my car from California to Tn He was nice, respectable but after I put my deposit down and try to get info from him he couldn't fine anything on file, so I asked for my deposit back and he sent an email saying... But you kept calling into this office repeatedly and threatening us regarding your deposit that has already been refunded to you in full. Viking Auto Transport has an excellent reputation with our Merchant Bank and we would not jeopardize our good standing with our bank for your deposit or anyone else’s deposit. And regarding the comment about the US Marshall. You completely misunderstood what Tony was trying to tell you before you hung up on him. He was trying to tell you that we welcome any calls from the US Marshall or any Government official since Viking is not breaking any laws.
Again Ms Allen I do want to apologize again if you felt that Tony was unprofessional or rude. But do me a favor in the future you don’t have to threaten people over $130. Share the many different conversations and different Ideas that Viking and yourself had with our dispatchers in order to pick up your oversized Hummer coming out of a remote area in Reno, Nevada.. We want to make it perfectly clear that your deposit has been refunded to you in full, as you already know and it was done shortly after you canceled with us.
Absolutely no bait and switch. Yes it is a fact that we were having some issues in picking up your oversized vehicle out of Reno. We went back and forth with you in coming up wit different ideas since it was taking longer than usual to find you a driver coming out of Reno, even as to meeting the driver in Las Vegas, offering a little more money to the driver since you had an oversized vehicle and you were in a remote area in Reno, Nevada were it was difficult to get a truck up to you.
No Bait and Switch Brad! Just some constructive ideas to get this job done. As it turned out you decided to cancel and your deposit has been refunded in full. And you booked with another company for the upgraded price that we were suggesting to you.
Thank you very much for taking our advice and paying a little more and booking with another company, and see you got you Hummer picked up. Upon our advice..

| FALSE PROMISES AND NO DELIVERY | | Original contract for $880 was signed on May 10, 2010. No progress was made for two weeks. Then a driver was located but for a higher price. You would call the office everyday up to 5 times per day to find out what was going on with the pick up. Unfortunately it took longer to find you a driver than what we wanted.
You agreed to pay more it was your suggestion not ours. Our dispatchers spent countless hours to find you a driver.
When our dispatchers finally found you a driver and everything was confirmed for your pick up, the truck had mechanical problems which was told to you and it was explained that the driver would be on the road again within 48hrs and it would be picking up your vehicle we also offered to find you another driver write away. But threw this whole process you have been very difficult to work with and you told us that you did not want us to assigned another truck to just refund my deposit. Is it fair that after all the hours spent in finding you a driver and no fault to Viking the truck breaks down and we offer you another truck you would request your deposit after Viking did their job and would have continue to work for you, you would insist on a refund, and then post this negative review after we worked so hard for you. Viking does not feel that you should get your refund back. But our managers at Viking has decided to refund your deposit in full after all the work we did for you. We greatly regret that the truck broke down and we regret that you did not have the decency in allowing us to find you another driver, That Viking was prepared to do. [ view ] |
