[ More ] | | As our customers are advised over the phone, and as it clearly states in our authorization forms and on our website, the carriers deliver directly to the address provided as long as their trucks can safely get there without breaking laws or damaging vehicles on the truck. 98% of the time they deliver right to the door but there are of course instances where they cannot physically get to the door. Some examples of this are when the location is on a very narrow street where the truck simply cannot fit, on a dead end where they have no way of turning around, a very steep hill that the big truck cannot get up (ex. some areas in San Fran), or a street with low trees that could scratch the vehicles. | Too good to be true, bait and switch | | got the quote through one of those websites that submits your details to a bunch of shipping companies. I liked their rates and was under the assumption that they could get my car shipped at that price in a sane timeframe. What they DON'T TELL YOU ... [ More ] | | Suncoast does not give 'lowball' quotes to customers or potential customers. As this customer states, we never charge anything until a vehicle is dispatched to a carrier so for us to give quotes that will not move a vehicle does not make since at all. We price everything to move within your time frame. At customers requests, we will match lower quotes received from other companies but as this customer has also written, "Suncoast very clearly tells you that sometimes your car can't get picked up at that price.." We will try our best to get your vehicle picked up at a lower price than we quoted if requested by the customer but we also take our time to explain this industry to our customers and the problems they may run into when trying to locate a carrier at a lower rate. Customers always have the option to adjust the rate back up to the original quoted price if their vehicle does not move for the price they requested. This person also states that it is better to go directly through a carrier but unfortunately that is just not how this industry works. It is designed so that customers can have access to thousands of carriers thus allowing their vehicle to get picked up at a reasonable rate within the time frame requested. This also allows carriers to leave with full loads, also lowering rates for customers. As previously stated, we take the time to answer all questions, explain the industry and give our professional opinions regarding pricing, dates, ect. Ultimately the final decisions are left to our customers but when they do not take our advice regarding pricing there are unfortunately times when locating a carrier takes longer than the customer would like. | Deceitful; Poor Customer Service; RUDE | | I had to endure rude voice mails and text messaging from Simeon... obviously customer service was not included in his training.
My vehicle was NOT picked up on the scheduled pick up day. I had taken the day off and Suncoast did not even provide m... [ More ] | | This is COMPLETELY UNTRUE. This person 'attempted' to make disputes with the BBB and was not able to do so because everything she stated is completely inaccurate and we proved that. Her vehicle WAS picked up within the scheduled time period. It would have actually been picked up a little earlier if she would have answered her phone when the driver was trying to contact her. The driver made several attempts to contact her to be able to pick up the vehicle and our dispatcher Simeon also made many attempts to contact her so that her vehicle could be picked up on schedule. When she finally answered her phone she was very irate and completely out of line. We were only trying to do our job and make sure everything went as planned for her transport. She is complaining that her credit card was charged $50 more but she is failing to mention that she paid the driver $50 less, thus paying the exact amount she was suppose to pay. We most certainly do honor every last word in our agreement but this customers vehicle was picked up within the scheduled time. Her vehicle arrived in Hawaii on the exact day it was suppose to and we also saved her $200 on the transport to Hawaii by booking with our company but she failed to mention that as well. The only thing true in this complaint is that we will not accept that we handled this shipment wrong. We did everything we were suppose to do, the driver waited around for her until she finally picked up her phone so that he could pick up her vehicle, and we delivered her vehicle on time. In the rare event that a vehicle is not picked up on time, we have no problem refunding any moneys charged if the customer chooses to cancel. We have paperwork on this order that has times, dates,prices and her signature on it to prove that her accusations are not true. This is why the BBB would not let her pursue her complaints. If anybody that reads this has any questions about times, prices, scheduling, or our money back policy please do not hesitate to contact us and we will gladly explain everything so that you as a customer know exactly how the transport process works and can make the best decision possible for your transport needs.
