We normally require about 5 business days to arrange for a carrier, but we were able to dispatch your order on 9/15 and the carrier picked up your vehicle on 9/20. Our customer service communicated all of the details of your transport and kept in contact with the driver throughout the transport to ensure the timely delivery of your vehicle. We do keep detailed records of our networked carriers and only continue to use those who meet our customer's and Carmoza's high levels of service. Although we are continuously striving to exceed our high customer service standards, this was an instance in which we simply failed to communicate with our customer. As I told Mr. Montgomery on the phone, we truly appreciate those customers who take the time to bring both positive and negative feedback to our attention because without that feedback we have no way of knowing how we might improve upon our operations. Although our dispatch team was working from the day of his order to find a carrier, Mr. Montgomery was mistakenly under-quoted by one of our former sales reps and this made it very difficult to dispatch. Mr. Montgomery agreed that had we just communicated this simple fact to him, this situation could have been entirely avoided and the vehicles would have been transported without a hitch. Additionally, over the past three years this carrier had received a total of 147 positive reviews on Central Dispatch and only a single negative review. While this carrier (and all carriers used by Carmoza) had been appropriately pre-screened relative to licensing, insurance and prior customer satisfaction, in this particular case they disappointed the customer and failed to meet the quality standards we expect of them. | Fraudulent business practices | | Keith Goble, rep for Carmoza quoted a price for moving my truck, almost a month in advance. Move date comes, nobody shows. Multiple calls and emails and nothing returned. Apparently it was never even dispatched. My house sold and I am stuck here ... [ More ] | | Although we appreciate receiving feedback from our customers, this review was both offensive and inaccurate. We checked into James complaint and found that a new sales employee had mistakenly mis-quoted Mike's transport and this made it difficult for us to find a carrier quickly. That was our honest mistake and we will take full responsibility for it. The sales rep on this order is an outstanding individual who makes every effort to create a positive experience for his customers. We strive to quote our transports accurately, but if we do happen to under-quote, those additional funds we occasionally have to request go directly to the carrier, not Carmoza, so we have no interest in raising the price. We aim to negotiate a fair price for both the customer and the carrier so that we can deliver on our promise to safely deliver our customers' vehicles in a timely fashion, however, sometimes we are off in our original estimation. Our customer service representatives did contact Mike to let them know that we needed to increase the carrier pay and later, when he opted to cancel his order, we issued a credit for his entire deposit. Our customers' satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us so we are obviously disappointed by this review, however, we do have thousands of extremely happy customers and we understand that we cannot please everyone! | Bad Experience | | We booked as a group and the shipping and the price originally quoted was great. We were quoted a price of 720, then it went up to 800 from RI to SD, CA. The pickup never occurred due to the price that was quoted to us, were told that no driver wou... [ More ] | | The sales representative arrived at the original quoted price of $720 because he was told that all vehicles had the same pick-up and delivery address, a convenience factor which enables the carriers to provide a discounted transport price for the entire group. As the representative worked to collect each of the separate orders, he learned that the group did not have the same pick-up and delivery addresses and this caused the price of the transport to increase to $800. We refunded each of the customers $50 of their $75 deposit to help compensate for this increase. Unfortunately, carriers can change what they charge for any given route in subtle and unannounced ways, usually due to the supply and demand factor. We try our very best to keep on top of the daily changes and that is part of the reason that our quotes are only valid for 10 days. If the carrier rate goes up for a particular route, which it happened to do in this case, it can take longer to find a carrier because there are other vehicles that are priced higher for the same route. We were making an effort to get the lowest possible price for this group and the market dictated a higher price after the order was placed. These unforeseen circumstances are equally frustrating for us and we try to avoid them as much as we possibly can. We were honest with these customers at every point in this process, they just were not willing to trust that what we had to say was (the unfortunate) truth. [ view ] |
