AmeriFreight did all according to our contractual obligation and would have been very happy to prioritize the shipment if needed. Regarding the pickup locations and times of pickup, I understand the inconveniences it may cause customers but the trucks often have to make adjustments due to inaccessibility and or the time of pickup and delivery. Everyone is trying to do the best they can in difficult circumstances. Unfortunately things may not always go as planned. The process dragged for about 3 weeks and even when I added $50 on top of the quote as they recommended, that didn't do much to speed up the process. At this point, the person I was c... [ More ] | | This customer opted for the economy saver standby rate. At this rate there is no promise or guarantee when a car will be picked up. It is for those who want a bargain price and who are not pressed for time. Normally we expect pickup within 7 days after the vehicle availability date. That happens for 70% of our customers. Should no carrier have a spot available at this rate we encourage customers to add more money to their vehicle in order to provide an incentive for carriers to accept the load. It would still be less than the next package that guarantee pickup within 5 work days. This customer was not prepared to go any higher with his rate and therefore had to wait for a carrier that would have been prepared to ship it at the posted rate. We apologize for not being able to satisfy the customer and we are happy that another company was able to assist with the shipment. [ view ] |
