Although he claims he was unable to speak with anyone, we did speak with him on 4-1-12 and told him we would attempt to meet his urgency. We were able to dispatch this to a carrier on 4-3-12 which this customer indicated would still meet his needs. He cancelled after the dispatch. To any potential customer reading this review, do not make the same mistake of trying to box a pick-up into a day or two. Even in the best case scenario, a driver could face a mechanical breakdown that could alter a pick-up or drop off. 99 percent of our reviews are all positive. Our customers are contacted within 24 hours to verify their information on their order is correct. Like in this case, the customer used in incorrect phone number an email address during their initial inquiry. The quotes we provide are automated by Central Dispatch using carrier prices for recent transports from closest pick up and drop off cities. This vehicle was transported 2236 miles from Reno, NV to Spring Hill FL in a VERY reasonable time frame; especially during a holiday week were most carriers are not transporting and spending time with their families. The pick-up location was changed to Reno after numerous unsuccessful attempts to locate a carrier willing to risk dangerous travel into the mountain area. Our reviews are 99.9 percent positive. With the extremely high number of transports we arrange however, we do from time to time have to incur a negative review posted by an extremely unreasonable person with ridiculous expectations. As clearly stated in our Terms and Conditions signed by this customer, we cannot guarantee the final price for carrier pay when there is an increase in fuel cost. He then changed his 1st available pick-up date to the 6th. We once again dispatched this vehicle to a carrier for pick-up on the 6th. The customer cancelled AGAIN stating the car would now not be ready for pick-up until the 18th. And get this; he wants it transported and delivered on the 18th! His secretary has also confirmed that the original shippers invoice sent at the time the order was placed did indeed reflect this customer's requested pick up date of 4-4-12. When we decided to ship a vehicle, we contact this company and they gave us a quote. They tried to get us to sign their agreement on line without a ... [ More ] | | This customer, like all of our customers, received our Terms and Conditions which they signed PRIOR to placing their order with us. Our Terms and Conditions specifically state that we are brokers and charge a fee to find a fully licensed and insured carrier to transport your vehicle. It also clearly states that due to many factors beyond our control, we are unable to guarantee a pick up a specific date and or time. Quotes provided by our company are actually provided to us by Central Dispatch, using live data from drivers within specific lanes of travel. With remote locations, as in this case, we are provided with a best estimate for what a carrier would charge to perform the transport within closest cities. Since no driver was willing to accept this particular transport based on the remote pick-up and drop locations, we had to adjust the carrier pay to what a carrier driver was willing to accept and change the drop off location to a Metropolitan area in which the drivers are willing to travel to. This customer was contacted, made aware of and agreed to the requested carrier pay as well as the changes in locations. Since our company receives NO increase in compensation due to an increase in carrier pay, one would think a reasonable person would be upset with the carrier that wanted the increased carrier pay to perform the transport rather than the broker. In this case, the customer is clearly taking their anger out on the messenger. Thankfully, of the thousands of vehicles we transport, we have very few complaints on Transport Reviews. The ones, who choose to do so, clearly do not read our terms and conditions prior to signing them and make unfounded acquisitions that are contrary to what they agreed to in writing. [ view ] |
