This move was booked on 7/21 with Sabrina Kims, and at that time you were unsure of the move date. On 8/17, we received a call from you requesting pick up on that day (8/17). As was explained per your phone call with customer service, pick up within 48 hours is subject to an additional ASAP fee of $150 for the purpose of rerouting a driver currently in the area. Had the move date been scheduled earlier, the additional fee would not have been added. You declined the additional fee. The closest truck we had to the area (with an available space, on such short notice, and within the original quote) was in New Jersey, and we offered you the space on that truck. When our office contacted you and asked if you could meet our driver across the bridge, you declined and made the decision to cancel. We provided the best customer service possible, and did our best under the time constraints provided. [ view ] |

| Vehicle Damaged | | After waiting almost two weeks for pickup, my car was finally loaded and delivered to South Carolina filthy and damaged. I have made several calls to my shipper about the damage, but my calls are not returned and all I get is their voice mail system.... [ More ] | | The original driver we had scheduled for this transport had problems and was unable to make the pick up. When we were notified, we informed the customer and dispatched a new driver within contractual time limitations. When the vehicle was picked up, it was released dirty and with the damage pre-existing. The damage was noted on the bill of laden by the driver and acknowledged by the pick up contact as well as by the customer upon delivery via both signatures on the bill of laden. When the damage was brought to our company's attention, we looked into the claim. Email, phone, and fax correspondence was exchanged between our company, the driver, and the customer. With the signed bill of laden notating the damage as pre-existing, our company and the driver were released of any liability, as stated on the bill of laden. [ view ] |

On 7/8 we set up the booking for the ocean portion of the transport and scheduled the driver for the ground transport. On 7/20 (the same date that this review was posted), we received an email from the customer requesting cancellation. The agent, Sabrina Kims responded on 7/20 to see if there were any problems. The customer replied on 7/20 with a reason for cancellation, stating, “We are selling the car and won't be shipping it.” There were no complaints made about the service from our company. The cancellation and refund request were submitted to our billing department for review on 7/21, and the complete refund was made on 7/23. [ view ] |

[ More ] | | This vehicle was purchased from an auction, without ever having been physically seen and inspected by the customer. The auction has two locations, and two sets of contact information; one for the auction lot, and one to store the vehicles that have already been purchased and are awaiting pick up. The contact information and lot information given to us by the customer was for the auction lot, not the sold vehicles lot. The driver called the number provided and was told by the auction’s representative that they did not have record of the vehicle on their lot. The driver went to the location anyway, per our request. Once there, the driver was again told by the auction that they did not have the vehicle. Attempts were made to reach the customer while the driver waited in the area for new information. Contact was unable to be made, and the driver had to leave the area. Once our company received the correct pick up information from the customer, we dispatched another driver. Upon pick up the driver did an inspection of the vehicle and notated all damage on the bill of laden. A representative from the auction signed off on the damage recorded. Our company has a copy of the bill of laden, and has offered this paperwork to the customer with no response.
Upon arrival to the port in Alaska, the customer was informed that the vehicle was ready for pick up and payment. The amount previously paid was for the deposit and ground transport. The customer informed us that they did not have the funds available for cash or cashier’s check (as required by the ocean liner in Alaska). Per the customer’s request, we then charged his credit card for the balance, went and got a cashier’s check, and sent it to the ocean liner. The vehicle was not left with a dealer, but in the storage yard for the port to await pick-up. Once the payment was received, the vehicle was released. As with all Alaska moves, this was door-to-port service, not door-to-door.

[ More ] | | On the originally scheduled pick up date of 5/4, the driver called the pick-up contact person and was told that the vehicle was not available on that day. The driver had other pick-ups scheduled for the following day, but made arrangements to pick up the Blazer on the day after. When the driver attempted to load the vehicle, it died. The vehicle was off-loaded and the driver and pick-up contact attempted to load the vehicle again. Again, it died. The truck was not equipped with a wench to load an inoperable vehicle. The driver explained that he may have to unload the Bronco to unload another vehicle, and expressed concern that it may die again. Without the ability to load it on the truck again, the driver stated he did not want it to get stuck in another state. That driver was cancelled. When the second driver delivered the vehicle, no complaints were made. The customer has never contacted our company to notify us of any damage or to make a claim. [ view ] |
