This was my 2nd attempt at getting a transport company to pick up and deliver a vehicle I purchased in New York and deliver it to Michigan. I hired them on August 16, 2014 and was told that my truck would be picked up on August 22nd or 23rd. I was in constant contact with the transporter and was consistently told that the truck would be picked up on the 22nd or 23rd. On the 22nd I was told that they could not guarantee a pickup date and did not understand why their staff would have told me that (several times). They claim to have an A rating with the BBB. I feel that will change once I contact the BBB. Meanwhile, the truck I had purchased was costing me $25 per day after the 23rd to be stored. I finally hired a local owner/operator to get this truck to me. The cost for storage due to the lies that American Auto Transport (FL) to me totaled $275. I finally fired them on August 27th after contracting with a local owner/operator. I will never again use any transport company to deliver a vehicle to me. They are only a "middle man" who own no trucks. They are totally depending on finding an owner/operator to pick up a vehicle that a customer needs moved. Save yourself some grief and get a local owner/operator to move a vehicle for you.
