Amerifreight overall was great. I worked with Graham, who was friendly and always called me back consistently with correct answers and information. A+ for Graham. However, the company which Amerifreight worked through to ship my car was a frustration. I live in an area where many furniture warehouses are located. A few are within walking distance and I requested the driver drop my car off there, where he would have ample room to move the semi-truck. He did not speak English well enough or communicate well enough to understand my request and insisted I meet him at a Planet Fitness that was further away and required me to have to pay a taxi to get there. He asked that I meet him at 1:30pm. I was there at 1:15pm and waited. No call no show. At 1:40pm I called him and he said it would be another 20 minutes. I waited outside. At 2:45pm he finally showed up. When I gave him the check, he noticed that there was no tip, and actually requested a tip from me. I declined. When Amerifreight works with shipping companies as unprofessional as this one, it gives them a bad reputation. These drivers are the last person with whom the customer interacts with and it’s imperative that the always act professional and prompt. Or at the very least, communicate by calling customers to let them know you’ll be late.
