I had two BMW's to transport from Maryland to Washington State. I've been through this drill before and I know it's a very tough industry and VERY difficult to receive good customer service. It's important to understand this industry is comprised of the broker such as Amerifreight and the carriers themselves. The broker is your first touch point in this process and they provide the bid price you receive. This is usually done by their reviewing the national board to estimate what the actual carriers will accept to move your vehicle. In my case going from the DC area to Washington state I had a challenge as that northern route isn't as desirable as say to Los Angeles. So after receiving a bunch of quotes I called and spoke to Amerifreight. I dealt with Ali and she was very upfront with me from the start. She explained the process, what she could and couldn't control and did not over promise. She did promise to stick with me throughout the entire process and she did just that. The carrier that ended up coming in with a decent price...close to what Amerifreight first got my attention with turned out to be difficult to deal with. Ali however stuck with me and made sure they were not able to bait and switch on the price or the pick up times as that was very important to me...I had friends providing access to my cars and they needed to do this after work but I didn't want that happening at 10 oclock at night in the dark... So, the carrier stopped at my old address and when no one answered they took off. They texted me to let me know they were not going to wait. As I had already told them we (my friends) would not be there during the day and they would need to wait until after work (4 hours) I suspected they were going to bail out. I called the carrier and they gave me a very hard time. I then called Ali at Amerifreight and she handled it. In fact she ended up getting me $100 off the haul cost for a pick up by this carrier for the next day. She also made sure they were good on the pick up window for that next day. She called me to check continuously through the process right up to when the cars were delivered. And, they were delivered several days early. So while the carrier was a pain, difficult to communicate with not good at keeping promises etc., Ali made sure they were held to the fire and ultimately I got what I paid for. She was definitely on my team and if I ever have to jump into those shark infested waters again I would MOST DEFINITELY recommend Amerifreight and specifically Ali.
