I have shipped my car with Door to Door for the second time now in two years. My first shipment was in 2012 from Hawaii to Texas and EVERYTHING went smoothly and prompt. Roy was always keeping me posted with whats going on. Ive spoken to MANY MANY brokers over the phone and through email and most of them will tell you WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR TO TRY AND GET YOUR MONEY AND DEPOSIT! that is the dead honest truth! Don't be fooled. Speak with Roy and he will tell you exactly what you will get and will not call you with any BS asking you to pay more. Trust me

Here is my situation that I ran into on July 18th with American Auto Transport and how Door to Door came to my rescue IMMEDIATELY after I was given the bad news by American Auto Transport. Right after American Auto Transport called me to tell me ONE HOUR prior to my car being picked up, I would have to pay $300 extra to the driver. the quote i was PROMISED, was all BS! The only reason why I even went with American Auto is because their quote was less than anyone elses. Big mistake on my end and lesson learned. ANyway, i called Roy right after i was told my car wouldnt be picked up and from there he got it figured. THe bottom line is, this is a company you can rely on hands on. His communication is on point and professional. He will give you specific directions and information and always comes through with it. Best of all he is very understanding and in my situation he stood in my shoes and saw things from my point instead of from his and made sure I was taken care of. Here is the story:
I chose American Auto Transport to ship my car from Georgia to Hawaii on scheduled pick up date of July 21. Ten days prior to that, I was in contact with Paul Strausberg over emails and phone calls and I was confident so I booked my order. I was concerned with many stories of vehicles not being picked up or drivers fronting more money right before they are to load your car onto their trailer. I SPECIFICALLY asked Paul three times if he is ABSOLUTELY SURE that my car would get to Hawaii for ($1175 from georgia to Long beach port, $200 deposit to his company and $870 to matson for california to hawaii shipment) and he said YES THAT HE WOULD NEVER ASK HIS CUSTOMERS FOR MORE MONEY UPON PICK UP AND THAT I CAN BE ASSURED HE WILL COME THROUGH WITH THIS. ONE HOUR before my car was to be picked up on Monday July 21, I received a call from TOM from this company saying that I needed to pay $325 more if I wanted my car to move. I told him that Paul promised the $2245 original quote AND that all i would need to pay the driver is $1175. so now Tom is asking me to pay $1500 to this driver or he wont pick up my car!!! THIS IS EXACTLY what i did NOT want to run into so i made sure three times over emails and phone calls. I immediately cancelled the order and contacted another company which moved my car TWO DAYS later on Wednesday with the promised quote of $2275. On top of this dissatisfying service, Paul never returned my emails three days prior to car being picked up, he acted like he did not receive my emails or phone calls. This guy completely lied and should have NEVER quoted a price he cant come through with, and not once apologized or explained to me the situation.

I have shipped with DOOR TO DOOR TRANSPORT based out of Coconut Creek, Florida and ROY is the man to go to! He made it happen in less than 24 hours finding a driver for me for the price as closest to what American Auto Transport promised. Roy went above and beyond to make sure my car was picked up by that Wednesday, he did not even charge me a deposit after I told him the story with this company and was very understanding. That is what you call CUSTOMER SERVICE. Be careful shipping with American Auto! BAD BUSINESS!
