Hello. My name is Jennifer Mosby. I am a military member who just transitioned with 2 young children from Wichita Falls, TX to Port Hueneme, CA. I had my car shipped and had the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I am writing to not bash the company, but I have never been treated this way and do not want anyone else to be treated this way either. Here is my story:
I called a shipping company to have my vehicle shipped and they never showed. I was forced to go with the first auto shipper that contacted me which was premier auto. I was in a rush so I paid an extra $100.00 to have my vehicle shipped within 24-48 hours. I was contacted by a guy named Gio at 10:30 p.m. who set up a time for the next day for pick up with my husband who was in Wichita Falls Texas. We were told it would be delivered in 2-3 days. 4 days later I contacted Gio and he finally answered after several attempts. He told me that he hadn’t even left Texas yet and apologized with a story of a previous customer cancelling his contract and wanting his vehicle returned so he had to drive to Oklahoma and said he was to busy to call. I understood because things do happen. I only wanted my vehicle and for both parties to be satisfied. He once again promised that the vehicle would be here within 2 days. I finally caved in for a rental car. Days later I was very concerned about my car. My husband and I tried calling several times and the driver never picked up. After several attempts and merely saying hello the driver was cussing and screaming in a way that was completely unacceptable. He said he was at the bleeping weigh station, continued to curse and hung up. I called back and merely said hello again with the same response. I have never been screamed and cussed at like this in my life! I called the police and reported the car stolen but there was nothing the police could do. So please understand that if issues arise you are very limited in what you can do and in some states the police cannot help you with your valuable possession and you are left vulnerable to the shipper. My husband called and of course he lied and said he told him he was in the shower and that I called yelling. Anybody that knows me knows that this would not be the case, yet is indicative of the driver’s level of professionalism and customer service skills. He stated that he was in route and would be here the following morning. Day after day this conversation took place between my husband and the driver (I refused to speak with him). I spent days waiting for the driver all while extending my rental car. My husband attempted to discuss compensation and the driver told him he would not offload the vehicle unless he was paid in full being left once again in a vulnerable position. The driver finally arrived days later at 2:30 a.m. with my vehicle( ten days after the delivery date). During this time, my husband contacted Premier Auto and was told we should get compensated through K.J. Falcon ( a smaller company Premier brokered through) and they would work on it. They did not call back at all. When I called a week later the dispatcher was so rude and defensive and stated there was no way I would get $200 back but would try as though the conversation had never taken place. After no call back and several attempts to call, the dispatcher and I had a pleasant conversation in which the same driver was rude to him and even he admitted to absurdity of the driver’s attitude and said he would try again. After days and days of no call back and calls for an update in which I was told the dispatcher would try, on the final day he was so rude! He stated that he had new customers to take care of and that he would get to it when he got to it and ended the conversation with “Do you want me to call them or what” and hung up. I was polite and understanding throughout the entire situation.
Please do not use Premier Auto Shippers! Moving is a very stressful time and you need to be in business with those you can trust. Issues will arise as there are a lot of moving parts but when they do Premier Auto shippers will do nothing to assist and in fact will only kick you while your down. Once they have your business, they do not care about you as a customer or if your vehicle arrives in a safe and timely manner.
